Blend Recommendations For A Viking Raid

Dear Fellow Pipe Smokers, I’ll be released from psychiatric hold next Thursday (neophyte Thor’s Day) and I plan to celebrate by loading my karve with a horde of fellow bloodthirsty wolf heathens and launching a good old fashioned Viking raid on a village down the coast from here. Protocol will...

    Oom Paul Roll Call

Who has one and actually smokes it? No judgement here. Just curious about how many people smoke them. That is all.

    P&C Calendar Specials Inquiry

Does anybody here have the 2020 Pipes and Cigars Calendar? Do you see any sales on Seattle Pipe Club blends coming before the end of the year? I'd like to load up on one of my favorites and it would be great to know if a Seattle Pipe Club sale is on the horizon. Thanks, Wolf

64 Fluid Ounces of Pocket Change

There's a gorgeous pipe calling my name. It's been haunting me for well over a month. I'd love to buy it but just can't justify the expense right now. Luckily, I have an idea. It's a 64 oz. growler from Kodiak Brewery filled to the top with random pocket change. The pipe is about $3oo and I'm...

Blood Red Moon Ghosted My Dishwasher!!

Yesterday I smoked the last bowl from my first tin of Blood Red Moon. I jarred it the day that I opened the tin and it took about a year and a half for me to smoke through it all. I tossed the empty jar to my wife as she was loading the dishwasher and she washed both the jar and the lid along...

    cellarlabels.com

cellarlabels.com Do any of you use these? As someone who really enjoys tin art I look forward to seeing these on jars in my stash. They will certainly be quite an improvement over my sharpie chicken scratch on blue masking tape. Here's a few examples.

    Savinelli 122 vs 121?

I was on a mission to buy myself a Savinelli 122 for Christmas and discovered that there is also a 121, which appears to me to be an identical shape. I've looked at dozens of these pipes and can't figure out what the difference is between them. I give up. What am I missing?

What Do You Smoke in Your Savinelli 320?

A few days ago I discovered how well my Savinelli 320 makes SPC Potlatch shine and haven't been able to lay off of this particular pipe/blend combo since. Now I'm wondering which blends other folks have found really come to life in this famous big fat Italian author.

Repackaged Bulk / Tin Tobacco Aliases

The Cult Blood Red Moon thread has me wondering about which other tinned tobacco's are repackaged bulk blends sold under an alias. Do you know of any? List them here!

    Astleys 44 Confusion

I just picked up my first few tins of Astleys 44 and am a bit confused after reading the tin description. TobaccoReviews and SmokingPipes list Virginia as the only component in the blend but the tin reads "A powerful English flake made of dark Virginia, Perique, and Kentucky which has matured in...

    Pipe/Tobacco Industry Relations

So, as I understand it, Laudisi owns at least SmokingPipes, Cornell and Diehl, and Peterson pipes (but not Peterson tobacco). And then of course Cornell and Diehl manufactures GL Pease tobaccos while Sutliff manufactures Seattle Pipe Club blends. I guess that in addition to it's own line Germain...

    Pesticides in Pipe Tobacco?

Due to recent changes in state law there is a burgeoning industry in California for legal cannabis products. One challenge for farmers moving from the black market into the legal arena is dealing with rigorous standards and testing for pesticides. Yesterday I was asked by a friend if my pipe...

Wolf Larsen Has Joined the Group

Hello everybody. Looks like some good info to be had here so I thought I'd join the group. About me? I came to pipes from cigars about 2 years ago, get in around 3-5 bowls a week, like Mississippi River and Shortcut to Mushrooms but not Full Virginia Flake or Aged Burley Flake, enjoy lunting but...
