    i understand why pipe makers stamp there pipes, but i dont like having brand names on my pipes. i love the look of nicely stained wood and seeing a stamp just ruins the look to me. i like the smooth feel of a polished and waxed pipe but if the stamp isn't filled it ruins the tactile sensation...

    i know this is a super old post but i figured id put my 2 cents in. i do the same thing as fisher, cut paper into strips and roll them up. it doesn't effect taste or draw(as air passes right through it) but its a good way to help keep it dry when ur out and about with only 1 pipe for the day.
