    Dark English ...?

So my local tobacco shop is cutting back (a lot) on pipe tobacco to focus on cigars and cigarettes. One if the blends they cut was "Dark English". In the four years I have shopped there I never got them to tell me who made it. So... I need some help. This blend is one of my favorites. Anyone...

    PAD: Vauen McRooty

Vauen McRooty smooth. Found it, and a few pounds of tobacco I was looking for at smokingpipes.com. It smokes well. Tobacco burns evenly all the way down to the bottom of the bowl. All-in-all, I am pretty happy with it. Smokingpipes.com will continue to see my wallet. Oh. Here is a quick pic I...

At my local Tinder Box they have been selling a blend named "Sweet English" for the last 5 years. I went in there this morning and found out they are no longer going to carry it. So... anyone know who would make "Sweet English"? I wasn't able to find out from the clerk who made the blend they...

    Neerup pipes

Recently I picked up a Neerup bent Dublin from Smokingpipes.com. Several of you asked about their quality. Well, I've smoked this one several times now and I find it to be a good, solid smoker. After trying several types of tobacco in it, I've found that just about everything other than flake...

    Building a cake...

I have several new pipes and I was thinking about some short cuts to building a cake on these. I have heard several different tricks to building a cake. The one I hear most often is a trick where you smear a light coating of honey in the bowl and then dump fine ash like that from a cigar into...

    Loose Stem Fixes?

I have 2 pipes that were my "vacation pipes" during my first three deployments. Both now have rather loose stem-to-bowl fits. What is a good way to fix this? Other than shipping the pipes to have them repaired professionally? I have heard of using bees wax but I don't know if that really works...
