    1800's Clay Pipe

I picked up this 1800's clay pipe that had a broken off stem that I did what I believe would be a historical style repair to it. What I did was carefully opened up the air passage in what was left of the shank and inserted a reed stem in it. Shockingly it wasn't all that hard to do and brought...

    Freehand Juniper Pipe

Here is my latest pipe I made... The bowl is made from a Juniper bush branch near the root ball so the wood is really nice. I used a vulcanized stem on it and the shank is from a MM pipe. This last picture is to show that Juniper does hold up to smoking and doesn't show and signs of burn...

    Maple Cob

While this isn't really a corn cob pipe it is patterned after a MM cob pipe and uses one of their shanks and bits. As may you may have guessed from the title the bowl is made from Maple wood (From a branch of the tree in my yard). I went for a natural finish on this pipe, so I only treated...

I just open a new pouch of Casey Jones Hero's Blend and I have to say I am liking it a lot.... It has a really nice flavor to it. You can taste the Butterscotch and Vanilla notes that are used in it. It smokes really nice and smooth with no bite to it from what I can tell. This may be one of my...

    Square Deal (Poker Style)

Hello all, here's a new pipe I'm working on that I'm calling Square Deal in a Poker style. The bowl is made from oak and the shank is from a MM cob pipe. I'm still thinking about how I want to finish the bowl. Thinking about rusticating it, any ideas? The chamber is 3/4" x 1 3/8"...

Before you all groan... "Not yet another tobacco storage question" I did do a search of the forum and couldn't find an answer to my question. So if it has been asked before, forgive me. Here it is. I know about storing my unused tobacco in glass jars to keep it fresh, but what about 2, 3 or 4 in...

    A Back Woods Pipe

Hello all, I'm sure most of you will think this is a very crude attempt at pipe making. My goal was to make a pipe that might have been made in the wilderness. To that point I think it fits the goal. So what do you all think?
