    1929 Dunhill 60 stem restore

Just got through finishing up this stem. Not my best work, I'm in a hurry to smoke it. But it will do. Thanks for the years worth of advice here.

    Hasnt cracked yet

But maybe its time to take it back a little. How long do you let your pipe go before a good reaming?

    Help with Dunhill pipes

I acquired the two top pipes in the album in a trade. Can anyone ID these stems? Curious to know whether they are originals. I dont know enough about old dunhill stems to tell. Not compared to some of you guys. Dunhill pipes https://imgur.com/a/bUd0n

    Who grabbed it?

I've been patiently perusing for a Wolfgang Becker pipe for ages. Smokingpipes had one listed for about 7 minutes before someone snagged it. I know it was one of us. So speak up now...and sell me that pipe. Or one of his blasted pieces. Thanks. In advance.

    Bufflehead

So I cracked a tin of Bluebill Drake Decoy. This Virginia is unlike any I have ever had. The red Virginia's almost have a woody character to them. Like the smell of freshly chopped lumber. No bite. Supposedly a mix of nothing but Virginia's, but ive never encountered a Virginia that tastes like...

    Anytime blends

Who else has them? Those tobaccos that you grab when you just can't decide and it always works for you. I have two. McConnell Folded Flake HU Louisiana Broken

    Folded Flake

Not the way you smoke them, but the McConnell VaPer. You dont hear much about it. And thats fine with me. But it provides a flawless smoke for me every time. Fold and stuff it into the Dublin, get it lit, and voila. A medium nic, full flavor, not a a chance of bite Virginia perique flake. The...

    Aged OJK

I recently cracked a tin of Old Joe from 2001. I can't put it down. Its pungent. Sour. Up the nose perique with a burley backbone and some Virginia's to save you with a little light leaf. It burns great. Mouthfeel is wonderful. Nic hit is medium, perfect for those early morning smokes. Ill...

    Wolfgang Becker

Ive been searching high and low. I can't find one. Anyone have a lead? Thanks either way.

    New Pipe

Finally received my new Pohlmann pipe. I was up in Medford training my dog with the retriever club, and stopped by Sunday morning to have a smoke with Brad and pick up my pipe he made for me. Needless to say, Brad and Silver are wonderful.

    Recent tins.

Good day gents I won some tins at an auction. Paid 80. Here's what I got. Grey Havens from 2001. Ojk from 01. Frog Morton from 01. Red ribbon '83 from 97. Wo Larsen selected blend 100g tin with a 5 dollar price tag on it. Mcclelland mixture no 8 from 01. And a bag of deacons downfa'll...

    Cellar thoughts

I know this has probably been brought up before, but I felt like asking. How do you guys choose to cellar? Personally, I stick to about 20 or so different blends. Lots of Virginia's. Lots of perique. A little latakia and oriental. I choose to stockpile pounds of the stuff I know I like and have...

    Directors Cut

Anyone else had issues with the blend? Not at all related to the quality, as Hans is top notch. But I used to smoke the hell out of it, but now I can't even get two minutes into a bowl and it bites the hell out of me. Used to smoke it four or five times a day. I can only think of it being a body...

    Ten Russians

Really lost my taste for this blend. I figured it out when I cracked a ten year old tin last night. Its free to whoever wants it.

    Capstan BLue

This blend has been a pleasant surprise. I bought this tin and it came with almost three years of age on it. No complaints here. My first suggestion. Open the tin, close it for a month, and then put it in a mason jar. That is what I did on accident, and this is sublime. The flakes break apart in...

    Too hard to find

I enjoy smoking older blends. Yadda yadda yadda. I have been chasing two blends for a while, and even with the willingness to pay a premium, others always snatch them or bid them well over what I am willing to pay. Escudo- either of the two older iterations. Three Nuns- the old wood panel tins...

    New Pohlmann

This makes my fourth pipe in a very well thought out, and useful building of pipes to smoke in.

    Who remembers the Bufflehead tobaccos?

Smoking some Canvasback Decoy right now. I know that you can get close with some Mcclelland current productions, but man, every single blend I have of theirs is sublime. One of those all day smokes, and I am still sad theyre gone.

    How many...

...Pipes do you own? I really only need three. A Roush, a Castello, and a Cob. I know what I prefer to smoke and these three pipes handle it all, beautifully I might add. How many do you have? How many do you think you need, realistically (excluding the satisfaction of buying new pipes)?

    Old Bengal Slices

I recently cracked an old tin of Bengal. From the early 80's. I figured you guys would enjoy seeing it. Bengal Slices
