    Tobacco in England

Some friends are traveling to England in the near future. They are willing to bring back any tobacco that is difficult or near impossible to get here in the states. Any suggestions?

    Old pipe info

Does anyone have any information concerning a pipe marked Jansen's N.C? I know of one for sale, but I've never heard of this brand.

    Esoterica question

For the past year or so I've tried to buy any of the esoterica blends. I don't check the countless sites that offer these blends everyday, so when they do become available, I'm the odd man out. Since I've never tried them, are they really that, good, or are they just something that everyone needs...

    New Parkers

Does anyone know anything about new Parkers? I love the older ones that I smoke, but I'd love to read about your experiences with newer ones.

    Big Ben Pipa

I bought a Big Ben Pipa in an estate sale about a year ago. I haven't smoked it yet, but before I do, I have a question: Does the stem separate from the pipe? Mine seems frozen, and I don't want to force the issue and break it. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, Dan

Although I have been a member for less than a year, I have found the members of this forum generous, intelligent, irreverent, funny, incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. American made pipes

Since I've only been a member of this forum since June, this entry may have already been discussed. First, let me say that I love my pipes from other countries. I treasure my Parkers, Nordings, BBBs, my Petersons and others. I always read the entries concerning Italian and English pipes. If one...

    Guilty pleasures

I have a very modest collection of pipes, 25-30, at the moment.i don't own any expensive ones mostly estate or the occasional $80-$100 pipe. I find that I am intrigued and enjoy what I consider my guilty pleasures. Old WDC and early Parkers. What are yours?

    Repairing pipe lips

While I have been repairing estate pipes for awhile now, I find that I am unable to correctly fashion the lip. How does someone fix a pipe lip that has been crushed beyond recognition? Any help would be appreciated. To send it out would defeat my purpose to thoroughly repair an estate pipe.

    Bacardi 151 discontinued?

I just went to my local state store (PA) to buy Bacardi 151. I have only used this fine rum to clean and restore my pipes (please don't take this to the gutter) The salesperson told me that Barcardi has stopped production of it. Does anyone know if this is true? I had to buy Everclear which I...

    Arlington Pipes

I just bid and won an Arlington or Darlington pipe on eBay. I found nothing about Darlington pipes and only a smattering of info concerning Arlington pipes. Does anyone have info on either brand? I have checked all of the usual sites and I would welcome feedback from someone who owns one. Thanks.

    Rating flake tobacco

i have recently tried flake tobacco for the first time. I don't know why I didn't try flakes years ago. My mistake. I have found that I truly enjoy Irish Flake and was wondering what other blends members out there would recommend. I also have never had plug or rope tobacco. I intend for that to...
