Definitely check out James J. Fox - that place is heaven! Davidoff (just up the road) is pretty good too, but definitely cigar-oriented. Also, Segar & Snuff is worth a visit... Seriously, as an Eastern Christian, incense is a HUGE part of how we celebrate the liturgy, and by extension, pray. My father, a priest, and his priest friends call smoking 'offering incense'... I would say, it's 100% OK!- averagegent

I agree with the OP, a lot of 'guides for beginners' are confusing at best, mostly because pipe smoking is such a subjective experience. I love what you've written hmhaines, but it might need a little editing for those on the other side of the pond. Good work!- averagegent
