    Cult Blood Red Moon!

I tried this blend just on a whim and it has now become my favorite! Even my all time favorite Mississippi River is smoking quite bland after this......I think it's the quality of the tobacco blends used in this - very very good quality tobacco! Nothing else will ever taste the same after...

Krumble Kake Blend - Shake Tin Vigorously To Rub?

Hi guys, Would shaking a new/closed tin of a krumble kake blend (SPC Mississippi River) rub it out nicely? Thanks

    Cleaning Acrylic?

Is it wise to wash pipe steams (all kinds)? That's what I do under cold water when cleaning a pipe. then run pipe cleaners through it?

    Artisan Pipes

Update: So I bought the Luigi Viprati....and it's the best smoking experience I've had so far! It trumps my cobs and savinelli 320 :) In my humble opinion, if you're going to buy a briar, go for a really good one with premium quality briar, otherwise, just stick with cobs. I think the briar...

    Palate Fatigue?

Great feedback/info. Thanks guys! What is your absolutely fav blend? I just can't get enough of Mississippi River...perhaps it's the quality of tobacco in this blend that's very high?

    Palate Fatigue?

I'm not smoking too much at all - just 1 to 3 bowls a day...I'll try Fire Storm! Thanks

    Palate Fatigue?

Hi guys :) Is it possible for one's palate to change significantly all of a sudden? My 3 blends are Orlik Golden Sliced, Old Gowrie and Mississippi River (at no. 1). Mississippi River is still my fav and tastes/smells the same with same level of enjoyability but the other two have changed for...

    Broken Flake (Old Gowrie)

So after reading the reviews for OG I decided to let it dry for 30 mins and pack it tighter and it appears to have improved it! :)

    Broken Flake (Old Gowrie)

Hi guys, I like smoking Old Gowrie but I find that it only comes alive in the middle of the bowl - the first half and the last little bit, it doesn't taste/smoke the same....is there a way to prepare broken flake so it smokes consistent all the way through?

    Artisan Pipes

Thanks guys, Actually, there's another pipe I'm eyeing up but it's REALLY expensive however if it smokes as well as a Savinelli (doesn't have to be better) and will last about 20-25 years, then I think it's worth buying. Anybody experienced here could please take a look and give feedback (does...

    Artisan Pipes

Hi guys, Complete noob here! Do artisan pipes smoke as well as say a Savinelli? There's a pretty good PEDER JEPPESEN pipe I'm eyeing up right now but not sure if it'll smoke as well as a good quality factory pipe like the Savinelli I just got? Are Artisan pipes just for collection purposes? Thanks!

How Long Does It Take To Break New Briar Pipe?

Update: I think it was just a short learning curve! The packing technique etc. Have been smoking my Mississippi River and I daresay it surpasses the experience of smoking it in a cob :) the rustic 320 feels great...an altogether a classier experience :D I can actually appreciate the wood...

How Long Does It Take To Break New Briar Pipe?

Thanks for all the info. guys! So just smoked some Orlik golden sliced and it was awesome! Better than any cobs ive smoked it in I think Mississippi river is a very temperamental blend! Shame as it's my favorite :( Also, does anyone know what briar pipe would go best with Mississippi river...

How Long Does It Take To Break New Briar Pipe?

OK. So just had a very strange experience. I had a tin of Escudo Navy De Luxe which I didn't really like in a cob. Just thought I'd use it to break in this pipe and it smoked really good! Interesting...pipe smoking is like quantum physics lol. If you think you know how to smoke a pipe, you...

    Varnishing Corn Cobs

Hi guys, Is there anyway to varnish the MM Mark Twain like the Freehand and Country Gentlemen? My favorite blend is Mississippi River and it shines in the Twain so I was wondering if I could paint it as such as you can't get it in the same colour/design as the other two MM Cob pipes I...

How Long Does It Take To Break New Briar Pipe?

Hi guys, I've been smoking nothing but cobs (mark twain, country gentleman and freehand) and today decided to break in my new savinelli 320. It was an awful experience :( The person who introduced me to the hobby was a pure cob smoker although he had had a lot of other very expensive pipes...he...

Why Do Latakia Blends Taste Like Soap To Me?

Just smoked my trusty Mississippi River again after a few days...I think I'm going to stop wasting money on any other blends and just get another nice pipe for the money! Why waste money? to me, nothing will ever come close to Mississippi River...to me, it's like smoking a very fresh, vibrant...

Why Do Latakia Blends Taste Like Soap To Me?

Nope, no ghosting! I have never even heard of lakeland blends...just the ones listed have been smoked in the cobs and the cobs don't ghost either. Just popped open a tin of FM Across The Pond last night and this is actually quite good! It's like red grape juice with rose...very mellow and...

Why Do Latakia Blends Taste Like Soap To Me?

I'm mainly using mm cobs - Freehand, Mark Twain and Country Gentleman! They get cleaned by 3 Vauen cleaners after each smoke and with 1 more cleaner before a smoke...I also clean the inside of the bowls a little with a cleaner too...Maybe it's just me lol
