An ALL Day Pipe
My advice would be to have two all-day pipes if you're nervous. What I like to do in those situations is alternate between two pipes over the course of the day and then give them a longer rest of at least a week. When To Change CornCob Pipe ??
They take very little care, really. Just keep going. If it starts to get bitter, scrape a little of the cake off with a pipe knife, rinse it with some whiskey, dry it out and light it up. They can last decades.- tommytree

We generally don't have those kinds of clubs in the US either. We just gather with other smokers to share tobacco, stories and companionship, regardless of the pipe being smoked (or if there is even a pipe at all).- tommytree

If you're having trouble getting into latakia blends, I recommend mixing some BCA with it to aid in your acclimation. I like a 50/50 mixture. Or you could try Just For Him's Whiskey Biscuit Gravy, which is essentially the same thing.- tommytree
