    Blue Room Briars

Scott and Jesse are great guys. In addition to selling pipes they also do great restoration work. I’ve always had a great experience buying pipes from them and sending them eBay buys that were beyond my restoring skills. I’m looking forward to seeing them in person at the Columbus Show in a...

If you like PS Luxury Navy Flake, then you'll like Orlik Golden Sliced. Both of my recommendations have date codes of the tin so you can tell how much age...

Help. Six estate pipes, but I can only keep one. But which?

If these are his Dad's old collection, some day he is going to really regret having parted with one of them. I say fix them up, give them all back to him, and have him take you out for a good steak instead.

    New Members, Introduce Yourself!

Hello everyone! I've been lurking here for a couple months now and have finally got around to uploading an avatar and introducing myself. I had moved away from my pipe smoking for a few years, but have gotten back into it again. It's great having resources like pipesmagazine.com online...

What is "musty" or "earthy" flavour?

I find 'earthy' sometimes in Virginias. I note earthy along with tones of leather in Escudo. To me, earthy and musty are two different flavors. I've never found a 'musty' Virginia. I've only found 'musty' Latakias.
