    Tobacco of the Month: Aromatics

I really enjoy aromatics. 1/2 of my rotation is aromatic. 1Q, Frog Morton, Lighthouse Keeper, HGL, Autumn Evening, Bagpiper's Dream, Nut and Honey from a B&M, luxury twist flake. On my first year of smoking I was lucky enough to get a sample of a bunch of really good VaPERS/ non-aromatic...

First smoke of Frog Morton was awesome, but then...

I just had a bowl of Frog Morton that I opened about a month ago. Still good. I really enjoyed it.

    Hi!

Nah Orley. Just baccy. And maybe its a good idea to eat first. The nicotine hit me in the bum this time.

    Hi!

Hey everyone! I've been lurking around the forum for sometime but haven't posted anything for some reason. Just wanted to say hi! I'm still smoking the pipe but a lot less nowadays. I just had a bowl of LBF in my MM Country Gent. It lasted about 2 hours and man I felt it when I got out of my...

    2035 Mcclelland's Dark Navy Flake

Yeah I bought 2 oz of it two years ago. Couldn't figure it out, I sort of just gave up on it. It has really good flavor but I just could not keep it lit. It might be aging nicely in the ball jar. Maybe I'll try it when the humidity comes down a little bit.

First smoke of Frog Morton was awesome, but then...

I like both 1 Q and the Frog. 1Q is usually the first smoke of the day with coffee, although lately its been Luxury Bullseye Flake (its just been so yummy). I find that the frog does well in a big corn cob pipe. I almost always smoke it in my MM freehand. Sometimes I smoke it in a Mark Twain...

    Regular lighters vs Pipe lighters

I usually use a BIC lighter but I recently got a Zippo pipe lighter. The Zippo was a game-changer. I guess its because the flame is right there and you just have to puff. I do taste the lighter fluid sometimes but its ok, it goes away on the next puff. It doesn't really take away from the...

Which Are Your Favorite Coffee Blends

Any blend of coffee with Dunhill's EMP.

    Post Thanksgiving Dinner Smoke

I usually like my aro mixture after a good dinner. 50/50 Anniversary Cake and 1Q with a glass of Vodka with Frozen strawberries in it.

Any female pipe smokers out there?

Yup still 'puffin away'. It's more fun now that I'm in the suburbs. I got one of those fire pits for pipe smoking entertainment. Good stuff. The pipe you gave me is still a workhorse too. Dedicated to EMP.

Any female pipe smokers out there?

I'm not Caitlin Jenner but I smoke a pipe. I've just been lurking. Too lazy to log in but I finally did today.

    Moving

Thanks for well-wishes everyone! We are so excited for the move. Still thinking about that fan. Otherwise it will be a long winter.

    Moving

True that! In the meantime, the fall should be a nice time to smoke outside. I can't wait to have all that space!;)

    Moving

That's an idea. But the family wants to keep the house a no smoking zone, I'm gonna have to respect that. I'm gonna have a lot of visitors that would not appreciate the smell.

    Looking for English Blends

My favorite is Dunhill's Early Morning Pipe. Definitely a must try. Also, the Country Squire has a blend called Senior Chief that is an English blend with a maple flavor. Pretty awesome. MM965 is also good, it's sweet but a bit lacking in what I imagine an English blend should taste like.

    20% Off Sale At P&C

I had to delete the email notification as soon as I saw this. Sooooo tempting. I made myself promise not to make any more purchases until after grad school. I have more than enough to satisfy until then. But it's so hard.... demmet!

Moments where you're glad to be a pipe smoker.

I can relate. This hobby helped me focus and get through several semesters of grad school. It helps when you want to stay grounded when things get overwhelming.

    Moving

I'm here in my present apartment in NYC, sitting on the floor, smoking Early Morning Pipe out of my Lorenzetti. I'm surrounded my boxes and have come to the realization that this small one bedroom apartment is no longer my space. My wife and I have bought a house and are moving to the suburbs of...

I don't know what it is about my cobs

Same here. My cobs get a lot more use than my briars. I love them. BUT, I have to say my favorite pipe is a briar.
