    Breaking-in A New Pipe With Nightcap

    I have tried both to break in a pipe with and without pre-carbonated bowl. I have to say it makes a great difference. The pre-carbonated bowl takes much better, i.e. you taste way less the wood. In practice pre-carbonated bowls reduce a lot the time you need to make the pipe performing best.

    Actually, I had exactly the same issue when I got my own SH Mycroft. I did exactly the same as Shawn did. I don't really consider it a huge problem, it was very easy to remove and the pipe smoked (and still smokes) quite well. Overall I consider it one of my favourites.
