    Vauen

As mentioned, the V is an F in German so the correct pronunciation is fow-en or fau-en if you prefer. My grandmother is German.

    Mystery of the Flavorless Pipe

I have a few pipes that have behaved like this and have seemingly sucked the life out of anything I have put in them. I have absolutely no idea what the cause was or is but I do know that it happens and I found they have come around eventually but for quite some time there was a frustratingly...

Rehydrate Dry Flakes With Fresh Ones?

:ROFLMAO: Well, fair enough but I don't think you are daft in this instance. You did it deliberately to create an educational game for yourself. You clearly thought about it ;)

Rehydrate Dry Flakes With Fresh Ones?

While I agree that there is a point that tobacco can pass where rehydration is not ideal or even worth it but what difference does it make with regards to this? If he places the old with the new then the new will still be perfectly smokable and the old will still go in the bin. He loses nothing...

Rehydrate Dry Flakes With Fresh Ones?

Yes, they will. I have done it many times. Water finds its own level and the flake moisture will level out amongst themselves. Just remember that all the new flakes will be a little drier than they were to begin with mathematically but to be honest, I have never noticed that at all.

    Erinmore First Impression

This stuff always reminded me of Wrigley's Juicy Fruit gum. I liked it when I first took up the pipe but my mate bought some recently and when I tried it I found it flat and flavourless after a few minutes. I was really disappointed. That said, I moved away from aromatics years ago so I...

    Brits; On-Line Retailers. Need Recommendations.

The two I seem to use most are My Smoking Shop and GQ Tobaccos.

    Australian Customs

I have had it up to my eyeballs with governmental overreach in the western world.

Anyone Notice Growing a Tummy Yourself After Smoke Pipes on the Long Term?

Ahhh, so yours is trimmed for downforce. Mine is trimmed for lift. I only weigh myself in the wind ;)

Anyone Notice Growing a Tummy Yourself After Smoke Pipes on the Long Term?

But you have wings on your lip.....But then again...so do I. But I'm a fat git these days so I don't have to worry :ROFLMAO:

Anyone Notice Growing a Tummy Yourself After Smoke Pipes on the Long Term?

Not even when you're clenching one of those big bowls? :)

Anyone Notice Growing a Tummy Yourself After Smoke Pipes on the Long Term?

Pipe smoking doesn't do this. Pies, chips, sweeties, beverages and doing sod-all does. I also heard a rumour that non-capitalization of forum thread titles is to blame ;)

    Charatan Rolls

Aged Burley Flake is the reason I wanted to try HH Burley Flake ;)

    Charatan Rolls

Yeah, that's what I thought. It's frustrating when this kind of thing happens. Disappearing blends and blends that either take years to get here or never do. I'm still waiting for HH Burley Flake to turn up on these shores. If it ever does. Yeah, that won't be happening. I'm not that keen to...

    Charatan Rolls

I have never been able to get those in the UK. Where did you find them, if I may ask?

    Charatan Rolls

I finally got around to opening the tin of this I had lurking in the darkness of my tobacco cupboard and being a long time fan of Dunhill Navy Rolls I didn't expect much from it. However, I found myself really pleasantly surprised. It's delicious. It's no replacement for the Dunhill and now that...

    Solani Aged Burley Flake

Molasses. Yes, that was the other thing about it that was obvious that I couldn't remember. Perhaps it's time to buy another tin.

    Solani Aged Burley Flake

It's been a while since I had this but I found it fairly unique relative to all the blends I have smoked. Tasted like liquorice and chocolate to me and when the chocolate was winning it was delicious. The claim is that this stuff is all-natural but I'm not entirely sure what is meant by that...

    Any Toscano Fans?

    Indeed.

    Any Toscano Fans?

Oh yes, seriously. Actually, I very nearly bought another tin during my order last night just to see my friends reaction as he has never encountered it before. It's also been years since I had the shock of it although I can't for the life of me think of a pipe I would be willing to put it in again.
