I'll always buy C&D blends. They have so much variety and outstanding blends. Even if I did get a moldy tin I know that they would take care of the problem. So no worries on my part.- willc

Wow Holiday Spirit 2016
Holiday Spirit is one of the better aromatics. IMO it even ages very well, I have some still left from 2012 and it is still tasty. I haven't tried their bulk but McClellands tinned aro's are wonderful.- willc

Barontini Pipes
I just received a Barontini Gran Duo in a lot of pipes. It is a nice bent Dublin with a smoky grey acrylic stem. The only other stampings on it are "106" and "Italy". Still need to clean it up but it looks like a very nice and solid pipe. Initially I thought it may have been one of the cheap... -

Would this be an 'OK' starter pipe?
I agree with shutterbugg here. Since you are just starting out I would go with a decent sampling of various tobaccos and a Dr Grabow or a Rossi pipe. If you don't care about looks of the pipe then a cob or two also, for me the cob is the best smoke. If you are dead set on your pipe though, go...- willc

Oldest Pipe You Smoke
Not sure exactly but I have a couple Kaywoodies and KBB Yello Boles that date from the mid thirties. They cleaned up well and smoke great. The majority of my briars are from the 40's to the 60's and some of these old pipes are fantastic smokers. I like to think that any well engineered pipe... -

Can a Heavy(Dense) Briar Pipe Smoke Well?
You are probably worrying about a non issue, the only way to tell if it is a good smoker is to load it up and have at it. -

FVF Group Tasting Sample Reviews
I got my samples in today and got to smoke a bowl of each. Both were smoked in similar MM cobs and the aged stuff is way smoother. The newer FVF had a harshness to it and a muddier taste, had I smoked this on its own I'm sure I would of enjoyed it but in comparison the aged FVF is sublime...- willc
