    Dodgers V Diamond Backs

The Dodgers/Dbacks game aired at 4am EDT, so I was counting sheep at that time. There's another game at tonight at 7pm EDT, I think, so I'll try to catch that one. I've watched many spring training games on MLB Network, and I can't wait for the regular season to start. Go Red Sox!

    P-lip Conversion

I've done it on a Dr. Grabow Omega, thanks to a little coaching from nsfisher. Easy to do, and the results are great. I simply cut off the very tip of the P-lip and left a button, then filed it down to round the corners of the button.

Real Perique From St James Parrish LA?

onepyrotec - I mix McC Perique with McC 5100 as one blend, and another batch of Carter Hall and Perique. I vary the amount of Perique from 16% -20% depending on my mood. I'll usually mix 84 grams of one, and 16 grams of Peruqie, then let it age for a few months, if I can wait that long. Both...

Hal O The Wynd Lovers, Anything Similar?

bryanf - If you have McC 5100, try adding some McC Perique at 16% - 20% rate, to it. I've been told, by a reputable source, it's what Hearth & Homes Louisiana Red blended of. I think you'll enjoy it. I've been meaning to try HoTW for some time now, and comparing it to 4Noggins Prairie Wind...

    My Dunhill MM 965 Moment

Hi guys, been awhile. Hope you all are well, and getting through this very cold winter. I have a tin in the cellar since last summer. I haven't been smoking much Latakia lately, but you've convinced me to pop that tin and give it a go. Once I finish a couple open tins, I'll try the 965.

    Similar to Red Cake?

Try some 5100, Red Cake, with a pinch of Perique added, I like it at a 16% Perique mixture. With a little age it mellows into a fruity note with a bit of spice.

    What? Me, A Senior Member?

I too have attained Senior, though I have significantly fewer posts than you, Pete. Time and post count are enough for me. At 67 years, I truly am a Senior....

    My S African Garbe

That's a beauty, Bradly. Looks like I'd only need to smoke one bowl a day in a pipe that big. Enjoy!

    Beginners: Pipe Smoking

If you want to start with just plain tobacco, no flavorings, I'd recommend burleys and virginias, then branch out to blends containing latakia and perique. Be mindful, latakia and perique are added as condiments, and are not the main tobaccos in a blend. At least not for most of us. Some burley...

The Life of a Cob. How long?

I guess they don't make em like they used to. One possible reason Legends don't last long these days might be the poor corn crop last year. It may have affected cob quality.

    A Cellaring Journey Completed

600 lb. stash, burning 3 lbs/yr = 200 years + 44 years age now = 244 year life expectancy. Maybe you should look to live with Harris in Florida, near the fountain of youth. Congrats, Peck.

    Burley Based English

As previously mentioned, Walnut, Bald Headed Teacher and Epiphany are all good burley/English blends.
