    The Grandpa Experiment!!

That is a very cool idea for an experiment. I'm actually very intrigued to find out how well it goes. Now, some times when I break in a pipe I will smoke it hard, but I just can't smoke every day, cause time. Enjoy this project your on.

    Smoking Cat Hair

Ahhh, the cost of living with cats. I have a tool box that I keep my pipes in when I go to my local B&M for a smoke, and yeah, I find cat hairs in it and on my pipes. No matter how careful. I don't mind though, me and my wife are crazy cat people. We love them. And my tobacco cellar and my...

    About Artifice

Might be over thinking it a bit. A common phrase around here is "smoke what you like and like what you smoke".

How Often and Where Do You Smoke

Where I currently live I can not smoke indoors. This rule is from the war department so nothing can be said or done about it. So, I end up smoking in only two places and about once a week. I wish it was more, but you know, life. Outdoors on the patio. This isn't too bad, but it's dictated by...

    Tastes Like Plastic and Ash.

namuna: That is the quote of the day! But in all seriousness machiningpipes, all that has been said is right. Patience being the key word. Let your tobacco dry out some on a paper plate before you smoke it. That can help too. By the time you get your pipe broke in, you'll have learned a lot...

tbradsim1: That is exactly the kind of person I would like to hear on the show. But as pointed out she is passed.

    Prominent Women Pipe Smokers

Prominent Women Pipe Smokers, are we ever going to hear an interview from one? Pipe Babes don't count. I would love to tell my wife that PWPS (Prominent Women Pipe Smoker) was on the radio show. My wife feels, and I suspect a lot of women think this too, is that pipe smoking is mans hobby. And...

    First smoke Peterson System

Probably the best thing to do would be to lay out your tobacco for 30 to 40 min, or heck even over night. Then try smoking it. I find that dryer tobacco smokes better. But that's just me.

    First smoke Peterson System

I have no experience with a Peterson System pipe. Are you able to run a pipe cleaner down in to a system pipe, or flick out the gurgle?

    Peterson Irish Whiskey

mso489: Now that you mention that, your right. It took me about a whole year to work through the 50gram tin. I wish I had mentioned that. I'm going to buy it again in the future.
