    Sarge The Pipe Smoker

From what I understand of the PX, your Sarge probably shouldn't have known the difference.

    New York pipe tobacco help

As a New York resident, Park Lane and Cup O' Joe's are the only two shops we have left. Just out of curiosity, though, where did you hear your can't order from out of state?

    Pipe Smokers of New York

Mid-Ulster County, myself. Just over the bridge from Poughkeepsie.

    Doctor Grabow Freehand

The one that I have was worth the $40 new.

    Young(er) Pipe Smokers

If you're a young pipe smoker and have a trust fund, raid it for a $400 mid-range pipe. If not, get whatever pipes you can afford. Just keep a rotation. As your income grows, expand your range of pipes and tobaccos (or don't if you've found some thing works). I'm 30. I started smoking a...

    Scotland Says No

Like most things, if this was going to be done, it should be done sooner than later. With that said, I'm glad that Better Together prevailed. Sometimes (even usually), doing something for the sake of doing something is NOT the correct course of action. I can expound on this if anyone really...

To filter, or not to filter?!

Haha, that's true. I haven't seen any media on this but it seems that Medico pipe filters have changed in the last 3 months (and for the better, how often does that happen in this day and age?). Typically, I could only get 2 smokes out of a Medico with Three Friars and now I can get around 3 to...

To filter, or not to filter?!

This is a certainly a personal preference. I always use a filter for pipes that are designed to use a filter because I am careless. I only smoke my non-filter pipes when I am in the mood to pay attention to the smoke. In addition to using a piece of pipe cleaner to absorb moisture and...

If You Were Going To Purchase A New Bulldog?

My best smoker is my Hardcastle Crescent bulldog. I would definitely add more Hardcastles to my collection and new ones go for around $100.

Anybody Else Get A Weird Email Related To This Forum?

One caveat: I usually suggest caution and suspicion in most cases.

Anybody Else Get A Weird Email Related To This Forum?

I didn't but I am usually the last to know anything. I would suggest caution and suspicion until you know more.

How Do You Distinguish Your Cobs

I have 4 Country Gents and one General. The General is obvious but the Gents are distinguished by either the replacement stems, like johnny does, various obvious repairs or a combination of both. The good news with cobs is that if you mix up your Thursday Pipe on Tuesday, who cares?

    Licorice Aromatic?

P&C's Classic Burley Kake has an anise flavor. It doesn't mention it on the website but it does in their latest catalog and I can also attest to personal experience that it does.

    Defective Cob, Quick fix or...

Most cob issues can be solved with Elmer's Wood Glue or clear nail polish but if the thing is new and you have the option AND, this is the most important and, you don't need a pipe to smoke right this second, send it back.
