    I also don’t get why people compare SLF to Penzance. SLF tastes nothing like Penzance. To me SLF is very Virginia forward with far less Latakia. At least the tins I have are super light on the Latakia and it is not oily.

    Agreed. Nothing else tastes like Penzance. While I rarely smoke Penzance anymore and prefer Margate by far there is no substitute for Penzance. That dank aged creamy sweet mushroom like flavor is unique.

    I recently smoked a tin from 2005 I bought from Pipestud and a new tin that had a bought and I found them to be very similar. The aged tin was tastier and smoother but I thought the blend was the same. I stocked up and ordered 10 tins for aging.

    The only thing that has lost its luster is the US economy. People just aren’t spending as much during this Christmas season. Add that this year’s release is 20 thousand tins means it just won’t sell out immediately.

    I seal my HU tins in mylar bags. When I get new tins in I also make sure to check that the lids are firmly closed before bagging them. I can say not every tin dries out because I have bought HU tins from 2013 and the contents were perfectly moist
