Mortonbriar’s comments are spot on with regards to needing the right wood to turn for pipe making. I also don’t know of any pipe makers in Aotearoa. But I do know a wonderful pipe maker who is in Melbourne. I am sure he would make commission pieces if you’re happy working with his time frame...- pruss

New Pipe Ghosted with 1Q.
I’ve given a Viking funeral to more than a few in my time. When I left Canada for New Zealand I burned about thirty misused and maltreated briar stummels in my parents wood burning stove. Ironically, the pipes burned down to a fine white ash.- pruss
