I know I'm being nieve here but all the cigars iv ever smoked come in a single clear plastic wrapper, is this not the same for the majority of cigars, if it is they should be fine as there sealed until you go to use it?

    Tobacco Pouches.

I never smoke out on the go and I never smoke in the house, I sit in the back garden, enjoying the sunshine, listening to the world pass me by sipping on one of my pipes, cup of black coffee in hand so don't need to worry about traveling issues. I have about 20/30 pipes that I rotate, about 5...

Mine doesn't have a fastener just folds over, I'm happy with my one for now, like I said I will get a couple of different jars to keep the different brands in and my the pouch for the brand I'm using at the time. I want to get jars for my st Bruno, Erinmore, sevenseas and captain black. Those...

That makes sense, I can see how it would be easier, failing that, repack a few different pipes before you leave.

    Tobacco Pouches.

IV just rubbed out all my flake and now using my pouch but I have got the tobacco in the original pouch in my grandads pouch for 2 reasons. 1 to keep the pouch clean and the other to try and keep my grandads scent, makes me smile every time I open it

There's some nice pouches coming out, I might start to use mine then, either that or get some ceramic jars and just use the pouch for when I'm out and about.

    Tobacco Pouches.

My grandad was the only pipe smoker I used to know. He never used the pouch as you can see but he used a plastic zippy bag and I remember when I was a kid he used to keep his tobacco in glass jars with cork lids. There's a few jars IV seen that I may invest in but there ceramic not glass.

That's the one thankyou. Yes that's another reason, will it taint the taste? Will it dry the tobacco out? To many questions

If I can get a picture on here I will post one of the one my grandad gave me, never been used. Wondered if no one uses them anymore.

    Tobacco Pouches.

That's a good point, it is unique. I guess I need to take the plunge and try it. See what works for me and what doesn't.

    Tobacco Pouches.

Sorry if this has been started, however. Do people use leather tobacco pouches to keep there tobacco in or do you use the plastic pouch the tobacco comes in? I have a leather pouch but feel it could dry the tobacco to much or make it go stale/funny so tend to use the pouches it comes in. Dunno...
