    I've Seen It All, A Humming Bird Fight

    Every spring we get two separate Clans here and they fight for the feeder(two separate feeders didn't help). Last year I witnessed the death of a female because of their combat but that's rare, most of the time they provide great entertainment while I'm puffing away on the deck.

    I only smoke outside, in good weather on the front deck in bad the enclosed back porch. FWIW I live in the woods so nobody to offend except maybe a squirrel or two. ;)

    I have no use for a pipe I can't smoke and I attach no value to a pipe other than it's quality of smoke.

    One could always hope for a global crash/depression to lower pipe prices, as for tobacco I'm just not that worried about spikes or taxes, maybe if we see a total ban but I kinda doubt that also.

    I got a couple of Rugers, two Colts, Two Winchesters, a couple of Brownings and a S&W. FWIW I can't smoke and shoot at the same time as I'm hopelessly lefty in all things including smoking a pipe.

    I have two 4dot #7 pipes, the first I bought new at a BM in the mid-eighties for $70.00 ruff root stamped made in France, the second I bought new from Iwan in the nineties on closeout for $40.00 smooth walnut stamped made in England. Both are good smokers but nothing I'd pay +$100.00 for.
