    My first estate pipe

That estate seems to be in pristine condition from what one can tell from the picture. I second the advice here, alcohol, water and some pipe cleaners and you are propably good to go. Also check the chamber with a flashligth to see if there are any fractures developing, if yes, simply smoke it...

Anyone Given Up On PAD for TAD?

I am currently in the process of thinning out my Pipe Collection but only to then invest the money gained into PAD and propably some TAD^^ So no End in sigth here. And as far as tobacco is concerned: I have a rather large plot of sunny land behind the house. Would hold enough tobacco for years...

Turns Out, I'm Not Meant to Make Pipes

That looks nice, especialy the selfmade rustication reminds me of the prints on some old bavarian pipes.

    Winslow pipes

They smoke great and there are a lot of estates around if you look for something more budget friendly. Or check out the Winslow Crown Pipes. They arent completly hand made from what I have heared but good quality none the less

    Does alcohol facilitate tongue bite?

Alcohol is besides smoke also an irritant, so I would say it can definitly make it worse, but I never had bad experiences myself

    Showoff Your Dunhill Pipes Here!

A 70s Dunhill Root Briar with a 325 Gold Ring, that is basicly unsmoked. I took a risk here buying from a sngle picture and well... it was a risk worth taking.

What Pipe Brand Most Consistently Makes a Great Smoking Pipe?

Very Subjective Question but If I were condemned to only buy Pipes from one company ever again, it would propably be Savinelli. Usualy Price and performance is exactly on point and you find something from cheap low grades for everyday smokes to your 500$ Luxury Pipe.

    Favorite Single Pipe?

Difficult Question, but I guess I would go with my Savinelli Ivory Bulldog. But more importantly: What would I smoke unless said deserted Island does happen to have some wild growing tobacco on it?^^

    Briarville Bulldog Restoration

    Pipes n peanut butter.

This reminds me of something some cigar smokers do, to avoid nicotine sickness, when they are sensitive to it: Just get yourself a teaspoon of sugar when you feel dizzy. It has the same Level of WTF to it but works actualy pretty well. Its very possible the oils migth serve to somewhat protect...

Abrasive Steel Wool To Polish Your Pipe?

Grade 0000 Steel Wool (Under no circumstances use the stuff from the kitchen it is far too rough!) can be used but you should still be carefull, as this can also damage a pipes finish. Still for Estates with extreme rim darkening and dirt on the outside of the briar, these are real miracle...

Would You Buy 100$ Frog Morton 100g Tin??

One could argue that when compared to Cigars this is still cheap but... no, no. No matter how good or well aged, no single Tin of Tobacco is worth 100$+

    Crazy Tracking

Well, that is quite the journey. Or maybe whoever transported this is payed by the mile XD

    Why Aren't P-Lips Proprietary?

There are a lot of pipes that copy the Peterson System and the P-Lip. There is also such a thing appearently as a "false" P-lip where the angle of the drafthole is different from the actual peterson patent. I happen to have a Pipe (drycell Made in France) that is basicly a carbon copy of the...
