    Castello Pipe Shapes

A question for Castello pipe collectors and buyers: For those of you who concentrate your buying to one brand of pipe, do you usually stick with a favorite shape, with just a difference in finish? My dilemma is that I have found a Castello dealer overseas that has a huge assortment of...

Any Recommendation for a Decent Lighter Under $60?

Jetline makes a great lighter. Inexpensive, but quality make. I have several of their cigar lighters, but would like to get one of their soft flame lighters for pipes.

Any Recommendation for a Decent Lighter Under $60?

2 lighters for your consideration: - Austrian made IMCO which runs about $20. Plastic, but seems well made. - Tsubota Stanley, which is a Japanese make similar to IM Corona, and runs about $85. Only had it a week, but seems to be a quality lighter. IMCO is great if you loose lighters (which...

Tabaccheria Corti - New Sponsor Hello

Seems like the European stores usually have fantastic selections of Peterson's and Castello's. A couple stores I've seen don't ship Castello's to the US; don't know why.

    Lighter vs matches

Never got used to matches; too many burnt fingers. I usually smoke outside on the patio, but always a struggle to use an Old Boy if there is any wind. Just picked up a Tsubota Stanley last week, which has a little stronger flame.

Still Have Your First Pipe? Why or Why Not?

My first pipe was a 3/4 billiard shape house brand from the Sherlock Holmes Pipe Shoppe in Garden Grove, CA. If I recall, it cost about $15. Bought it on a high school "ditch day" in 1976. Still have it, but haven't smoked it in years. I'll always keep it though, as it brings back a lot of...

What Pipe Brand Most Consistently Makes a Great Smoking Pipe?

I would also say Castello. I would further narrow it down to a #55 shape, which I am smoking now!

    First "Nice" Pipe

Got my first Peterson for Christmas. It's a Sherlock Holmes Deerstalker Natural. A great smoking pipe, but still getting used to the p-lip.

Show Us Your Christmas Gifts 2018

My dear wife gave me a beautiful Peterson Sherlock Holmes Deerstalker Natural with p-lip. It’s my first Peterson, and i’m finding it to be a great smoking pipe. Still getting used to the p-lip though. Will post pictures after I get home from the holidays.
