    Some of the ones I have done more than once are C&D Sarsaparilla topped with a Virginia and Mac Baren's HH Bold Kentucky topped with Virginia.

    A variation on topping off I like to do is to layer my tobacco. Putting a stronger tobacco on the bottom and then a less flavorful tobacco on top. Then I will add a second pinch of the top tobacco halfway through the smoke.

    If they get good rain I would guess that some of the crop could be saved. The tobacco plants looked better off than the pics of tomato plants I saw. The ash cloud looked directional, so it probably didn't destroy all of the crops on the island. I doubt they have to worry about nutrient...

    If you're a new smoker it could be that you are not used to much nicotine. Your previous blends may have been especially low in nicotine. I don't know of any reason why the Cavendish process would make the nicotine more noticeable. Maybe someone else would have an idea.
