Not against jarring - just prefer to have it in tins if possible. In this case the tin is not suitable for storing the tobacco for longer periods, so I need to look for solutions.
Now the sealed bags will leave the tin in the game, but also not suitable for longer term storing as both will...
Aside from jarring such any other recommendations for long term storage? I am thinking about vacuum seal in plastic bags (don't have mylar here), but I am afraid it will dry out in several years.
Recently I had a dinner with a pipemaker and all of a sudden he pulled some of these and offered some. Not cubans or anything compared to high end cigars, but very decent smokes if you are in a hurry.
Seems like a good sample from everything offered in Europe :).

On recommendations - I guess it depends if you are seeking blends that you can't usually buy in the States or just looking to buy whatever is good.
With the civil war going on there from years, will be really surprising if anyone there is producing any Latakia.
But it may be similar to the story of the Cyprian - arguably produced in Turkey and sold as Cyprian :)
Still for the benefit of the doubt - maybe some small blender as Schurch...
You can always drop a mail to the blending company and ask them - talking about the ONYX.
Or you can mail Daniel from Synjeco in Swiss and ask the same (as he is one of the major distribution points for Hans Schurch tobaccos).

I like more the system where you can sign up and wait your turn. Once something shows up and you are signed for it, you got a notification and few days to buy it. If you decide to pass, then whats left is released to the next in the row.
I also think there are a bit too many. Don't get me wrong I very much like many of their blends.
But I also agree that their portfolio is exploding recently.
On the other side there is similar "issue" with P&C/Russ' blends - they just keep creating more and more varieties :).
