Just a few simple steps to creating a new profile:

1.  Edit the Basics -

Name, location, etc.

What ever you leave blank will not show on your public profile.

Basically, you can choose how detailed you want to be.

2.  Upload Photo -

Click on “Change Avatar” from your profile page and upload a photo from your computer.

Congratulations, Your Profile is Complete!

Things to pay attention to:

• Notifications -

You can manage your email notifications under  profile “Settings”

The default is on “yes” for everything that you participate in.  It is probably a good idea to reduce the amount of email notifications you receive, especially if you participate in groups that have a lot of activity.

• Wire -

Each member has a wire, which is essentially a public facing message system similar to a “Wall” on Facebook.  If your friends are spamming your wire, just delete them.

Since this is a networking site, we’ve tried to create several opportunities for our members to connect.  However, it is each member’s responsibility to manage their own relationships.  Basically, only your friends can spam you with Group invites and messages.

Please report any apparent spammers to the site admin via the Contact Page.
