Kevin Godbee
Thank you for joining us for The Pipes Magazine Radio Show—the only radio talk show for pipe smokers and collectors. We broadcast weekly, every Tuesday at 8 pm eastern USA time and are available on nearly all podcast sites and apps. Listen on your computer, tablet, phone and even in the car! Our Featured Interview tonight is with Darren Shepherd from Shepherd Bros. Pipe Co. Darren and his brother Greg have been making one-of-a-kind handmade pipes since 2014. They keep their pipes affordable priced in the $100 – $200 range. Darren also works on Harley Davidson motorcycles, and plays guitar. In Pipe Parts, Brian will discuss two pipe smokers of the past – his great grandfather, and late TV producer, Stephen J. Cannell.  Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!

Tonight’s show is sponsored by SmokingPipes.com, Cornell & Diehl, and Savinelli Pipes and Tobaccos. Please give them some consideration when making your next pipe or tobacco purchase.

We hope you enjoy our 1-hour show produced just for you—the pipe smoker and collector. The following link will launch a pop-up player. Alternatively, you can download the show in iTunes and other podcast sites and apps after the initial broadcast is complete here.

  • RE: Stephen J. Cannell
Rockford Files is one of my all time tv favorites.
I hadn’t really been a fan of Johnny Depp’s talent until I watched the movie “Finding Neverland” and I’m not sure if it was the story or the acting or both, but that one brought a tear.
Darren’s analogy was terrific! I enjoyed listening to his incisive comments.
His ‘favorite pipe smoking experience’ was one of the best ever!
    Keep on puffin!

  • Nice interview, Brian. I like Darren’s attitude and philosophy of life. Dunno what happened during his favourite pipe smoking memory; I must have gotten dust in my eyes or something. 😉
