Thank you for joining us for The Pipes Magazine Radio Show—the only radio talk show for pipe smokers and collectors. We broadcast weekly, every Tuesday at 8 pm eastern USA time and are available on nearly all podcast sites and apps. Listen on your computer, tablet, phone and even in the car! Our Featured Interview tonight is with  Muttnchop Piper from YouTube. Muttnchop was originally drawn to pipe smoking from The Lord of the Rings. He started working in a tobacco shop at 16-years old, and started smoking a pipe at the same time. He was in The U.S. Marine Corp. for 20-years. In Pipe Parts, Brian will discuss the differences between bulk tobacco versus tinned tobacco when it is still the same blend. There are more possibilities than you may think. Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!

Tonight’s show is sponsored by SmokingPipes.com, Cornell & Diehl, and Savinelli Pipes and Tobaccos. Please give them some consideration when making your next pipe or tobacco purchase.

We hope you enjoy our 1-hour show produced just for you—the pipe smoker and collector. The following link will launch a pop-up player. Alternatively, you can download the show in iTunes and other podcast sites and apps after the initial broadcast is complete here.

  • Very good show. Your explanation of tins versus bulk was very good. Should be a great help to those who want to try the bulk stuff. Muttnchop was a nice interview. It was interesting to hear him describe his smoking technique. I actually tried it and felt it was a reasonable alternative to my normal method. I’ve never looked him up on YouTube but I may have to one of these days.
I was surprised that you would play something by a guy on a mountain dulcimer. His play was proficient and the tune was enjoyable. Why didn’t you do this with Neil Archer Roan?

  • Very warm, informative and entertaining conversation with Muttonchop.
The dulcimer tune was nicely done. Your guest is certainly multi-talented.
Thanks for yet another satisfyingly fun show,
    Dino

  • Another great show. I’ve only been smoking a pipe (smoking anything, actually) for 6 months and it’s safe to say I mainly owe the fact that I’m still smoking a pipe to Brian Levine and Muttnchop Piper. Always good advice, always well presented. To hear them both on the same show was a truly enjoyable experience. Gentlemen, thank you both!
