The Pipes Magazine Radio Show – Episode 191

Kevin Godbee
Thank you for joining us for The Pipes Magazine Radio Show—the only radio talk show for pipe smokers and collectors. We broadcast weekly, every Tuesday at 8 pm eastern USA time and are available on nearly all podcast sites and apps. Listen on your computer, tablet, phone and even in the car! Our Featured Interview tonight is our continuation with Pipe Maker Andrew Marks. Andrew is a renowned custom pipe maker residing in Vermont. His father gave him a Dunhill pipe when he was 15-years old. At 26-years old he decided to be a pipe maker and has never turned back. That was 47-years ago. The briar he uses to make his pipes has been aging for forty years. In the "Pipe Parts" segment, Brian will recap his experience at the Chicago pipe show from last weekend, and he will discuss the new FDA regulations. Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!

Tonight’s show is sponsored by Sutliff-Tobacco.com, SmokingPipes.com, CupOJoes.com Missouri Meerschaum, 4noggins.com, Cornell & Diehl, and Savinelli Pipes and Tobaccos. Please give them some consideration when making your next pipe or tobacco purchase.

  • Vermont seems to be a sort of pipe makers vortex. I wonder if you guys get together somehow, on occasion? Elliot Nachwalter, J.T.Cooke,and Andrew Marks.
I grew up in NH and now live in FL, but that area calls to me still after a 40 yr. absence. (especially during the months of summer and fall)
Andrew sounds like he is meticulously moderate. (Brian, I can spell it, but I want to hear you say it. lol.) I can’t even say it. Meticulously moderate. 3x.
